Lub Dup... Lup Dup... Lup Dup................... Ljv*&&jvjhfvkj.hjhdfyu&%^&DghcHCHVJ

"I wake up in the morning, just feel like wanna post this...."
(parody from The All American Reject - Gives You Hell Xp)

Yes she is coming she is coming!!! ,” my heart pounded hard and faster, I could literally feel adrenaline rush in my body.  I was seriously blank on what to do, I knew she was nearing as my blind spot can sensed that she is walking towards the table we were sitting and gently sat down in front of me. I couldn’t think of anything to do or say so I decided to just continue looking at the menu blindly. "Act cook Alvin act cool" (padahal not cool at all) Well suddenly I heard her in a very soft voice talking to Charleen.

“Hey who is that guy?” “Weyy introduce yourself la.” Charleen snubbed.

“Hey hi my name is Alvin, nice to meet you.” “(Her name obviously)”. That was the first conversation we had since the first day I met her in psychology class. The joy I had inside me was simply unexplainable. The talk is precious, but time is a jerk. Soon it was already late and thus after a photo-taking session and payment we went back. (Such a drag back IKR)

God what can I do?

I feel so stupid for helping my friend to go after a girl whom I liked since the first glance at her. Yea perhaps my sister is right, my pure stupidity will surely make me lose her one day. Though everything goes smoothly as for now, I believe if I am still going to keep silence like this I will absolutely suffer at the end of the day. For now, I can’t do anything as her friends told us that she does want any commitment as for now. I can only pray in my heart that she will not accept him. (This makes me a very bad friend, but who cares?) Please wait for me till the day when I have my courage to tell u how much u meant to me and I sincerely hope the day will come very soon….

I knew that these few days your were in a very emotional mood as some idiot have ruined your wonderful days. Even as a friend i won't stand by his side as he has made a very huge mistake, both immature and has shown that how low his EQ can be. Most importantly, he has made you moody and sad. I sincerely hope that you will be as cheerful as always, put behind all the pressure and things that affect your feeling. As I will help ease your burden, just like how Simon of Cyrene helped Jesus to carry his cross. Cause i will always be the one standing by your side, the silent ranger supporting you, both emotionally and spiritually.

The Best Playing Career in my Hockey Life

11th April 2010 was a big day, it would indirectly determine how well we had trained and maintained the reputation of our school in hockey. Ever since the year of 2006, our school had not won any MSSM gold medal neither do they had entered the finals. It was 8 sharp in the morning that day when we embarked on our journey to Stadium Bukit Serindit with all our friends' wishes and lucks. The place was crowded with people from all walks of life. The players from other schools looked confident and well- prepared.

Few months ago, we had started our intense training under Mr. Sasi in order to achieve a better results than last year which we could only enter the last eight in the competition. However, it was totally different this year, our master had expected us to at least enter the final after a 5-year drought. Therefore we had to stay back for training twice a week under the hot sun at 4 in the afternoon. My skin had turned kind of tanned since then. There were a lot to endure but we accepted it without much comments as we did not want to dissapoint our coach.

At 9am, our coach came out with a schedule paper and started a small meeting. He said we would not have trouble beating the opponents of first two matches until we were up against SMK Tinggi Melaka. They managed to eliminate us last year and thus we could not take them easily. Our first match was scheduled to begin as the second match in Group C. After a small cheering and warming up, our first match began.

I was playing as a substitute left lower wing. As a result I had some time to study their game, our first opponent was unexpectedly easy, we managed to lead 2-0 in the first half. I was substituted in for the last 10 minutes and did a string of assists for my forward, Joshua. He was the Maths genius in our school and had represented our beloved country to Germany and Kazakhstan for 2 consecutive years. Besides, he is also a great hockey player and one of our important men in our squad. His dad is currently coaching our nation under-14 squad in hockey games. In the end, we scored another two goal and conceded a consolation goal before the match ended.

We managed the second match without any trouble which we won 2-0. (if not mistaken) Then it was our third match against SMK Tinggi Melaka. A lot of our players looked indeed nervous as they did not want another dissapointing match from them. The former had earlier disposed his opponent easily with a 5-0 score. Both teams attacked profusely for the first few minutes before they got their goal just a few minutes before half time, their well-planned game and strategies made our players crumpled in a circle and out of the blues, they flicked the loose ball which entered our net to make the match 1-0.

Second half was indeed a fast game as both teams again made long pass to counter-attack. I was substitued in as our full back got cramped. Although I made several saves but however they managed to get their second goal as a mistake from our midfields. Both their forwards were up in the D and I could do nothing as they had only me and the goalkeeper to beat. Before the final whistle, we got our consolation goal which appeared to be an easy goal as they had known that they would win the game. (Well it was kinda insulting actually.)

As a whole, we appeared to be the second contender in our group and we managed to enter the quarter final. Apparently, after the slots drawing, our “hardcore” opponent – SMK Tinggi Melaka was in the same half with us again, which meant if we managed to beat our next opponent we would be up against them. Our opponent was an “Asrama” school (which I could not remember the name). They gave us a shock in a lifetime by leading the match but however we managed to bulk up and won the match 4-2. Then we were up against our opponent which some of my teammates labelled them as “sangat sangat susah”.

We had an advantage of one game as they played a game later than us. In term of fatigueness we were considered as an advantage. However, they fielded most of their second team players earlier but still managed to beat their opponent 3-1 easily. Their coach made a lot of changes for their match against us, even their second choice keeper found his way in the match too. Well my coach said it was actually a psychological game as they wanted us to play more aggresively and they would have a slow game. Nevertheless, he would wait for the second half and studied the game they played.

We were tied to a 0-0 score in the first half with us attacking the most, they could hardly attacked as even their forward had only a few touches on the ball. We thought they were up for a slow game, but lady luck was not on our side, they changed their game totally by playing aggresively and our formation was made to a mess. They managed to get their first goal just a few minutes the second half started. I was substitued in halfway of the game to prevent them from scoring more as my coach had said we could do nothing as a few of our main players were too tired. We switched our game from attacking to defending. In the end, we lost 3-0.

Before we walked out of the pitch, we confronted all our “fans” by waving our hands to the audiences just like the other great football team players as one of my teammates quoted, “Kalah tak apa, gaya mesti ada,” Apparently we were eliminated from the MSSM again this year by getting fourth as SMK Tinggi Melaka lost in the finals. My captain expressed his emotional feelings by shouting “Padan muka” when the final whistle was blown. The joke made our day as he was scolded back by a few players from other schools.

Though we failed to enter our first final in 5 years as expected, but however our coach complimented us on our courage and the urge to give our school a good reputation. Although we had failed to do so, he said we still had a chance by playing well for the coming hockey match against students from Somali. This is my best playing experience in my entire whole life as I did not play the full match against Somali. Eventually I sustained a serious injury on my ankle in that match. I would certainly remember this memory vividly in my mind as it gave me a great experience in my secondary school life.

Apologies

For those who are concerned, i am just voicing out my opinions and thoughts. However without me realizing, someone was insulted. I guess it was my fault and i apologize sincerely. I did not intend to cause those misunderstandings and nope u did nothing wrong to me, it is maybe due to my way of expressing my thoughts by mentioning others' mistakes which i THINK are wrong. I began realizing that this simply doesn't work at this stage. No underestimation, no intention to bully, not making fun of you, nothing got to do with marks and no nothing. I seriously thought it was some sort like a debate which we did in our school last time by even mocking, pointing out others' mistakes or insulting each other but everything stays in our class, other than that we are still machas. Erm i MIGHT think that i did none of these, however i was completely wrong and things had happened. Yea maybe I get too used to my secondary school style, i know right EHH IT IS ALREADY UNIVERSITY FOR GOD SAKE, ALVIN PLEASE GROW UP AND CHANGE... Again i would like to apologize and i think it is kind of clear cut on who i am mentioning about, readers please kindly do me a favor by maybe asking her to drop by here. I sincerely hope that you won't take it as something deep inside you and i am sorry for any moody mood made. Hope you will be relieved after reading this (not completely but i hope it helps) and have a nice and pleasant days ahead. Cheers  =)

The thing we treasure so much in our lives - Friendship

“Dey macha, how are you laaa?”

“Wadeyea?” “Engge?” “Canteen la, sapade, hungry sial..”
(Hey you want go or not? Go where? Canteen la, go eat, hungry sial... in Tamil)

These were how we spoke in school when we were still in secondary school. “We” refer to a bunch of Indian, Chinese amd Malay students joining together as a group. “We” called ourselves “GENG MAMAK” in the year 2009. The name was actually given by my English teacher, Pn. Chan when the group of us made so much noise and she blew her top.

“Hey! Why are you all so noisy? Especially the group of students there! Geng Mamak ar?”

Apparently, all her anger and shoutings fell on our deaf ears. We began laughing and agreed to name our group as “Geng Mamak” with Viknesh as our “group leader.”

Growing up as a Chinese boy, I was sent to a Chinese primary school nearby my old house. My mother started to worry when I spoke too much of Chinese and did not excel in my English Language speaking. As a result, I did not achieve Grade A for my English Language in my UPSR. As she had given a high expectation on me, she became so furious and signed me in for a English secondary school a stone's throw away from my grandmother's house. I was so lost during my first day of secondary school. Though some of my ex-classmates were there, but they had some basic in English speaking. Therefore, I struggled so much until I began realizing that learning English was a must during that period.

I joined most of the students who had the same problem as me in class. Therefore, there was a huge wall between us with all the English-ed students. However, improvement began when I was in Form 3. I had some problem looking at the notes copied on the blackboard. As a result, I was shifted beside two Indian students, Arvinth and Viknesh to slove the problem. At first, we remained silence and talked only when needed. However, I slowly realized that the bonds among those students were incredibly strong and they could share their food and drinks among themselves without any problems. We became closer day by days and I even accepted all the food they shared. A sausage, fried mee, or even a piece of “karipap” could be shared among about 8 of us. Well that was how we spent most of our times together.

I was a soft-spoken and shy boy when I was in Form 2, I could not even speak English well! As a result, I was not given the post of AJK in my prefectorial board although I was nominated by a few seniors. However, after speaking much English when I was spending time with them, English was not a big problem for me anymore. During weekends, we would play futsal or badminton together. Afterwards, we would go paint the town red or even caught a movie not necessary whether it was a Chinese, English and Indian movie together. We would talk about the particular movie for a long time and even enjoyed using the interesting quotes used by the characters. They would also teach me some tamil song and we would sing together when the day was too boring to cheer the class up. In a nutshell, we enjoyed most of the time together very much.

When I was in Form 3, they invited me to join the Hockey Club and played as 1 of their first team player in interschool competiton. We also featured as a team in most of the interclass competition and won a lot of prizes. I even gave up on my badminton though I had endured so much in badminton. That was the time when I became closer with my Hockey teacher, Mr. Sasi. He would bring us out for the nearest “mamak” to refresh ourselves up when we had a long and tiring day. He is really the best teacher I have met so far. However, I had to quit in the year of 2010 after I sustained a serious injury. I was named only as the Assistant Manager of the school club.

There was one morning when one of us brought an article of a newspaper entitled “Geng Mamak was finally caught after a short chase by the policemen”. It became the “joke of the day” and we decided to change the name of our group to “Geng Karat” in order to prevent ourselves from being caught by the policemen (well, maybe..). The name came when Viknesh, our “president” of the club was purple with rage after his clean white uniform was corrupted by the rusty window and he began shouting:”Dey haiyo, karaattt laaaa!!!” We burst out with laughter and here comes our “Geng Karat”. We even started using the word “laaaaa” after every sentence.
“Dey why ponteng school laaaa? You never tell me we can ponteng together laaaaa...”

In the year of 2010, although I was the Assistant Head Prefect of the school, I was caught a few times playing football with them without changing into our t-shirt or even played truant on the lesson of the teacher whom we disliked much. We got a few strokes of cannes and was recorded in the disciplinary card of the school. However, we did not cry nor blame the one who suggested the idea but laughed at our own pure stupidity. It was really a new experience to me as I had not been canned in my entire school life. Though we might sound naughty or have been in most of the teachers' bad book, but we always put their thought on a doubt by achieving flying colours in our monthly exam or even in SPM examination. One of us was even the “top 5” student in our class.

Now, we were scattered around the world with 2 of us currently studying in India amd the rest were on their own path to succeed in our own lives. Though we may only meet up for “mamak” once in a blue moon but our bonds remain as strong as usual. However, we would never forget the experiences and time we spent together. People may say that we are the bad peers to be with but I totally disagree with them. They were the best part of my life and they will be for a long time more to come.
